Unique Headboards from Repurposed Wood

I could see one bedroom in the Chennai apartment with a poster bed and mosquito netting, and the other bedroom will have a very unique headboard. I’m so inspired by these ideas made of shutters and other repurposed wood pieces …

  1. I totally agree – that 3rd image is my favorite! I like how the wood extends all the way across the wall too. About the last image, I never would have thought of doing that with old doors (or even new doors painted to look old) without seeing it here. You could do the same thing with shutters too. Find doors or shutters at flea markets. Or get inexpensive shutters at Home Depot and paint them to look really old. In the last image, I like the combo of rustic old wood with dressy crystal. I could turn that little chair around and sit and look at that all day!
