Forgotten Olive Oil Jars, Found

An imagined world of an abandoned cache of earthenware olive oil jars.

How can old simple utilitarian things be so beautiful and romantic. See these gorgeous photos of olive oil jars from a landscape designer blog called Dirt Simple:

“Dirt simple” is so appropriate for today. I spent five hours refurbishing our backyard gardens with fresh new plants and installing vegetables and herbs in pots around the patio. The colors in the gardens are inspired by our Tuscan vacation, where we lived for a week with a gorgeous flowered garden. I look forward to a whole spring and summer of the same vacation feeling here in my backyard.

(Um, what’s with the tube lights in the first photo? I didn’t put them there!)
