After yesterday’s post about copper including a copper tub seen in New Delhi, today I share copper tubs in bathrooms …
Via Elle Decor:
Diamond Spas (isn’t this beautiful beyond words!):
This Old House:
I don’t know the source of this copper tub with patina:
A few more copper tubs of unknown source. If you know, let me know!
And this is a tub available from the company that’s making our copper farmhouse sink. But we wouldn’t have anywhere in a bathroom to put this. Is it ridiculously extravagant or stupidly silly to put one in a bedroom?!? What would you do?
Just to be clear, I am not serious about putting this in a bedroom. At least, I don’t think so. I mean, never say never. You never know …
wow…they are stunning..but I would stick with your sink!
Thanks for mentioning Diamond Spas in your posting! The copper tub you display of ours (ours is also the one in This Old House) is a Japanese Bath which Diamond Spas specializes in. Copper baths are elegant in the bathroom and as you can see will spotlight the room .
You’ve done a great job of showing how versatile copper tubs are. Most people tend to think of them and copper sinks, as ethnic or old fashioned but there are all kinds of shapes and styles available. Not only that, but an old looking, rustic piece can actually fit really well in a modernist or opulent room. It’s also interesting to see that one with the verdigris patina, most of our customers are afraid of this happening to their tub, but you’d actually have to work pretty hard to get this look, and I think it’s gorgeous!
You’re right, they can fit everything from contemporary to Victorian style!
